Signs it's time to replace it

Rusty or discolored hot water, a tank that rumbles or pops, water around the base, or a unit that runs out of hot water faster than it used to. Any of those can mean the tank is wearing out. A leak at the bottom of the tank is the one you can't repair, so don't wait on that. If it's already leaking, our emergency plumbing service is the faster route.

If the water heater is well past its expected years, replacing it on your schedule beats replacing it at midnight with a flooded basement.

What the installation includes

We drain and disconnect the old unit, haul it out, set the new heater, reconnect the water, gas or electric and venting, then fire it up and check for leaks and proper temperature.

One customer wrote that we came right away when a problem showed up after the install. That's how we want it to go: the job isn't finished until it's working and you know how to use it.

Picking the right size

Bigger isn't always better. Household size, how many bathrooms you run at once, and the space you've got all matter. We'll talk through it and recommend something that fits instead of the biggest box on the shelf.

Where we provide water heater installation

We cover Philadelphia, Bucks County, Montgomery County and New Jersey, and we're open every day from 8AM to 10PM.

FAQ

Water Heater Installation: common questions

How long does a water heater installation take?

A straightforward swap is commonly done in a few hours. Changes to venting, gas lines or location take longer, and we'll go over that before starting.

Do you remove the old water heater?

Yes, we disconnect and take away the old unit as part of the job.

Can you install a different size or type than what I have now?

Often, yes. We'll check the space, hookups and venting, then tell you what works.

What if my water heater is leaking right now?

Shut off the water supply to the heater if you can, then call us at (267) 632-1119.

Not sure what's wrong? Tell us what you're seeing.

Call and we'll point you in the right direction, or send a message and we'll get back to you.
